How can Europe’s incoming leadership enable the EU to lead in the digital age while guaranteeing citizens’ rights?

The tenth annual FT-ETNO Summit examined new political and societal sentiments towards technology, as well as the key themes of trust, responsibility and sustainable development.

Huawei joined the debate. Rotating Chairman Ken Hu fielded questions from FT Chief UK Correspondent Dan Thomas on trust in a globalised world. He explored the questions of Europe’s digital sovereignty and the role of technology in this context.

5G demo truck

On the occasion of the FT-ETNO Summit, Huawei’s 5G truck visited Brussels. It was parked in front of THE SQUARE venue, giving visitors a sneak preview of 5G innovation.

The truck is fitted with a live 5G network. Visitors tried out cloud PC, gaming and VR/AR running on 5G.

Our 5G experts were available on-site throughout the day to discuss the key questions surrounding 5G deployment and security and to provide insights into Huawei’s contribution to making 5G happen in Europe.
