A PUBLIC DEBATE

This important public debate will allow MEPs, journalists and any other stakeholders to ask questions about Huawei and the related digital and trade issues: cybersecurity, 5G, espionage and backdoor allegations, China and China's National Intelligence Law, the US ban against Huawei, trade disputes, reciprocity, supply chains, etc.

The debate will be co-hosted by MEPs Franc Bogovič (EPP group), Maria Grapini (S&D group), Bill Newton Dunn (Renew group) and Jan Zahradil (ECR group).

During the first part of the event, Huawei’s Chief Representative to the EU, Liu Kang (Abraham), will be “grilled” by MEPs, journalists and key stakeholders. The second part of the event is the so called “fireside chats” divided in three sessions of 20 minutes each: cybersecurity, trade disputes and European digital sovereignty.

Interpretation will be provided in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Romanian.
