Women in the Digital Era

To complement the #EUVSVIRUS HACKATHON which took place over the weekend of 24-26 April, Huawei organised a Webinar as part of our “Women in the Digital Era” series. This preceded the Hackathon award ceremony at 11.00 on 30 April.  

The Hackathon has given rise to more than 2 000 pioneering solutions that could help overcome challenges related to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Over 20 900 participants from 141 countries took part in the event.

Huawei representatives - including Abraham Liu, Chief Representative to the European Institutions – participated as mentors to innovators competing in the Hackathon, which awards cash prizes for winning solutions and opportunities to join projects supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC) in conjunction with EU Member States.
