Alex Grech
Strategist, change consultant and academic
Alex Grech is a strategist, change consultant and academic, and the founding Director of the Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning. He has advised multinationals, governments, NGOs and startups in sectors ranging from telecoms, ICT and neurosciences to culture and education.
In the past decade, Mr Grech has been working in EdTech, advising on digital education policy, lifelong learning & the labour market. He coordinated the nation-state blockchain credentials pilot in Malta and has written major studies on the impact of emerging technologies on the education and TVET sectors for organisations such as the European Commission, the ILO, the Mastercard Foundation and the Commonwealth of Learning.
Mr Grech teaches new media at the University of Malta within the Faculty of Media & Knowledge Sciences. He holds a PhD in Internet Computing from the University of Hull and is an FCCA by profession. His research interests are in digital citizenship, blockchain & identity, social media and power.
